Sunday Walks in the Peak District
| Half Day |
Monyash and the Lathkill Dale |
| Full Day |
Easier Full Day Walk in the Southern Peak Area We thought it good to launch our Autumn series of Full Day Walks with one that's easy to get to and not too arduous for newcomers. There is also pub stop in Parwich. So please give this one lots of support - you can do it! Includes Biggin Dale and return via Alsop in the Dale. |
| Half Day |
Ashover and Ogston Reservoir |
| Full Day |
Eyam, Foolow, Great Hucklow and Bradwell A shorter Full Day Walk but don't worry we've made sure there's a couple of hills and a pub. This is classic Peak District walking at its best with open moorland, wooded areas, water and some great views. |

Notes: |
|
| 1). Many members take out our ten walks option in which case they pay just £45 for 10 Sunday walks either Full Day or Half Day or a mixture of the two. A series is then pre-booked but walks can be rolled forward as long as FIVE CLEAR WORKING DAYS notice is given as for other Spice cancellations. Please tell us whether you want Full/Half/Mixture, start date and any dates you want excluded when you book. | |
|
2). We've decided after some discussion with members to put the start time for Half Day Walks forward to 11:00am to allow for the longer journeys some members are making from the further reaches of the East Midlands. The start time for Full Day Walks remains of necessity at 10:30am to ensure that we don't come back in the dark. Unless stated otherwise we leave promptly at the time stated and we do not wait for latecomers under any circumstances, nor can we normally provide meet points for later on the walk as the paths we take may be well away from access points. |
|
| 3). Half Day Walks are typically 5-8 miles in length with normally no more than one steep ascent, Full Day Walks may be up to 12 miles in length or sometimes a little more and may have several steep ascents. | |
| 4). It is very important that members come properly dressed and equipped for these walks. Stout footwear with ankle support, proper walking boots for preference, waterproofs (ideally both top and bottom) and PLEASE no denim jeans which get horribly uncomfortable when wet. Always bring plenty of fluids, sun block and some snacks and / or lunch as whilst many of our walks include a pub stop it is not always possible to guarentee food will be available. | |
| 5). If you have any queries or problems with walk locations or other details after our office has closed for the weekend call the Spice mobile on 077 11 166 480 and / or text if unavailable. | |
